Psychotherapy Services
There are times when we need professional support to help us experience life the way we prefer. With her 20 plus years of experience in the field of mental health, Suzie helps children, adolescents and adults address self and life related challenges, distressing events and relationship issues.
Here is a sample of presenting concerns that Suzie has helped many people with:
Trauma, anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, self‑harm, abuse, family violence, complex trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, anger, attachment, parent-child conflicts, adjustment problems, life transitions, and behavioural problems.
In addition to the presenting concerns mentioned above, Suzie has also worked with adopted children and their family, children in foster care and people who were trafficked.
Suzie uses various therapeutic approaches to help clients achieve their counselling goals. A therapeutic approach is selected based on clients’ presenting concern, needs and preferences and based on what would most likely provide the quickest resolution to their presenting concern. This includes talk therapy such as narrative, solution‑focused (SFT) and cognitive‑behavioural therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Empowering Resilience Through Compassionate Psychotherapy
No matter the therapeutic approach used, Suzie uses a calm, caring, culturally sensitive, strength based approach to support her clients and to strengthen their capacity for resilience.
Psychotherapy services are available to residents of Alberta in person or virtually, in English or en français, and at a time of your convenience.
